It is about the second club, with the Melbourne Tigers, of the city to evolve/move National Basketball League, more the high level in Australia.

Just like the Singapore Slingers, the South Dragons rejoined the league at the dawn of the season 2006 - 2007, nevertheless, and contrary to the named first, it acts there of an extension of the league and not of the replacement of a late team.
