The South Coast Plaza is largest Shopping mall of the west coast of the the United States, it is located at Costa Mesa, in the Comté of Orange to 50 km in the south of the downtown area of Los Angeles. It is the third Shopping mall the United States, in term of sales area, with 250.840 m ², after the King off Prussia Mall and the Mall off America.

South Coast Plaza is one of the Shopping mall more visited in the world, with approximately 24 million visitors per annum.

History

The South Coast Plaza was inaugurated in March 1967 thanks to Henry J. Segerstrom, the owner of company C.J. Segerstrom & Sounds. The architect of the original building was Victor Gruen.
