South-east of Pará

The mésorégion of South-east Paraense is one of the six mésorégions of the State of the Pará. It is formed by the meeting of thirty-nine municipalities gathered into seven microrégions. It has a surface of 297.344,257 km ² for a population of 1.412.777 inhabitants ( IBGE 2006 ). Its IDH is of 0,694 (UNDP/2000). It makes border with the Guyana and the Surinam.
