Soumaoro Kanté
Soumaoro Kanté reigned with the XIIIe century in the Royaume of Sosso, in the area of Koulikoro (current Mali), succeeding his/her father Sosoe Kemoko vrers 1200. It conducts campaigns against the small close kingdoms. Regarded as a king wizard, endowed with magic capacities, quasi invulnerable, it made reign terror in all the area. After having attacked the Mandé victoriously, he is confronted with Sundjata Keïta which, combined with the malinkés kings, comes to fight it. After several dubious battles, Sundjata Keïta overcomes Soumaoro Kanté at the time of the Bataille of Kirina in 1235. Wounded by Sundjata thanks to an arrow provided with a pin of white cock (the only weapon being able to reach it), he flees, continued by Sundjata and disappears in the mountains from Koulikoro.
