Soual

Soual is a common French, located in the department of the Tarn and the area the Midday-Pyrenees.

Its inhabitants is called Soualais.

Geography

Commune located on the Sor and old the Trunk road 622 at the East of Toulouse in the south of the Tarn.

History

Old village strengthened in Rotunda, some traces residences of the doors (localities: Barry & old Mill of Sor).

on the Way of the Pilgrimage of Saint-Jacques-to-Compostelle the Via Tolosane

Soual, occitane small town, are twinned since April 28th, 2007 with the town of Spanish Catalonia: Calaf.

Administration

In May 1966 the commune of Soual takes part in the creation of the trade union for the expansion of Sor and the Agout (SECOSA) which transforms in February 1974 into District of Communes Sor and Agout (DICOSA).

In December 1999 this last fact places at the Community of Communes Sor and Agout (CCSA) which currently gathers the villages of Cambounet-on-the-Sor, Escoussens, Lescout, Sémalens, Saïx, Saint-Affrique-the-Mountains, Soual, Verdalle and Fish pond-the-Mountains.

Foot: the Sporting union Soualaise, club created in 1921 with the colors " dark and or".

Rugby with XV: Sor-Agout 15 was champion of Honneur France in 2005 (the club is resulting from the fusion of the two close clubs, Soual Olympique and Rugby Club Saïx - Longuegineste).
