Sostrate of Cnide { Σώστρατος ὁ Κνίδιος ) is the Architecte which conceived the Phare of Alexandria.
At the time of its takeover on Egypt the Satrape Ptolémée {{Ier}} would have also urged it to take Memphis by diverting the course of the the Nile towards the city.
