Sorting of Saint-Jory
The sorting of Saint-Jory is a marshalling yard which is at about fifteen kilometers in the north of Toulouse on the southern transverse axis (Bordeaux Toulouse Narbonne- Montpellier Marseilles Toulon Nice). This last which was one of most modern of Europe, closed with the profit of those of Hourcade close to Bordeaux and Miramas close to Marseilles.
Contrary to its name, it is located on the commune of Lespinasse and Fenouillet.
It gathers several activities today: building site of transport combined Novatrans with Fenouillet, parking of the oars of goods and the engines dedicated to freight with Lespinasse. The many ways of this site make it possible to mitigate the saturation of the station of Matabiau, the more so as ex-sorting profits from an easy access by a third way skirting the line Toulouse - Montauban.
