Sorrel of the Alps

The sorrel of the Alps is a Plante of the family of the Polygonaceae , it pushes in the mountains and solid masses of southernmost Europe.

One finds it in the altitudes ranging between 1200 & 2600 meters, close to the refuges like close to cattle feeding troughs, this last far from fond of delicacies of the sorrel of the Alps.

The sorrel of the Alps can measure until 1m top and to reach a scale from 10 to 30 cm, its Feuille S can reach 50cm length.

Its flowering lasts from June to August.
