Soraya Arnelas

Soraya Arnelas Rubiales is a Latin-pop Spanish singer born September 13rd 1982 with Cáceres in the province of Extrémadure in Spain.

Of a modest milieu (his/her father is painter, its mother works in an old people's home), it always knew that it was to leave this too narrow small village for her dreams. After its studies, she worked a time with the local radio of her city, but very quickly she decided for a career of airline hostess who will carry out it well far from her native village. The first radical change was its arrival in Madrid, in a school of airline hostess where Soraya learned English, French and Portuguese.

From 2002 to 2005, she worked for IBERWORLD Airlines then for Air Madrid Lineas, station which she left to enter the television program Operación Triunfo.

It is in June 2005, which began the fourth season from this TV-reality. With the difference of her companions, it did not have any experience, it had never sung in manner " professionnelle". She liked the song but she was never taken for a large artist in becoming. Moreover at the beginning of the competition, it was not one of favorite of the public. But gradually, through work and of rigor, it gained the heart of the televiewers and even of the jury of the emission which started to see in it true a " estrella". All noticed that behind this perfect physique hid a real charisma and a true talent which exploded a little more each week with moving interpretations by Luz Casal, Liza Minnelli or even Gloria Gaynor.

Even if it arrived only second finally, it remains true gaining heart with the eyes of the public. As of the end of the emission, Soraya started to work on its first album Corazón of fuego , recorded between October and November 2005 in Miami, and produced by famous the Kike Santander (which produced David Bisbal, Jennifer Lopez, Mark Anthony and Thalía).

The 11 titles of the album have a style which varies Dance with the Funk, while passing by the Soul, the Blues and of course the Latin pop. During 21 weeks, the album was classified in SIGNAL 40, with very a signal 13. The first extract Mi mundo sin tí was a large " carton" in all the Spanish clubs. The second and the last extracted the album Corazón of fuego to the style Flamenco - Reggaetton did not meet same success but made it possible all the same the album to cross the 120000 sold copies.

The success met by the album made it possible Soraya to gain some prices:

artist of the year 2006 (Radio operator Punto, Shangay).
personality of the Estrémadure of the year 2006. (community of Extremadura).

The same year, she collaborated in the form of duet with the young Spanish singer Antonio Romero (title No debería ) and with the group of Reggaeton Santé Fe (title Fruto prohibido ).

During the summer 2006, Soraya left in round with more than 50 dates through all Spain. In autumn 2006 Ochenta' S made its entry in the Spanish charts. This album made up of resumptions of the Années 1980 did not have an immediate success. After timid beginnings, the sales exploded in particular thanks to the resumption of Self control , at the origin sung by Laura Branigan.

" Ochenta' S belongs to the largest sales of albums in 2007 and even received a diamond disc. Encouraged by this success, Soraya left in August 2007 to the conquest the Mexico with a round ten dates in order to promote its album.

The year 2007 was quite rich for Soraya: round in spring in Spain and a round in Mexico in summer. September 11th left its new album " Dolce vita" , obvious result of Ochenta' S on which Soraya takes again other titles of the years 1980 and in particular the dolce vita of Ryan Paris.
