Sony Sharrock

Warren Harding " Sonny" Sharrock is a Guitariste of Free jazz and improviser American born on August 27th, 1940, and deceased the May 25th 1994.

Sony Sharrock begins its career at the end of the Fifties as a singer of in groups of Doo-wop. It is interested in the jazz after having heard the album Kind off blue of Miles Davis, and learns the guitar.

In the Sixties, he plays in particular with Pharoah Sanders, Herbie Mann, Wayne Shorter, Miles Davis.

He is regarded as one of the fathers of the guitar free jazz. Its collobarations include Peter Brötzmann, Bill Laswell, John Zorn.
