Sonia Braga

Sônia Maria Campos Braga (born the June 8th 1950 with Maringá, in the Paraná) is an actress Brésil ienne.

In 1975, it became famous thanks to the Telenovela Gabriela (founded on the book Gabriela, Cravo E Canela of Jorge Amado). She played in another famous adaptation of Jorge Amado, in the role titrates film Dona Flor and his/her two husbands in 1976. She made appearances in several Brazilian commercial films such as has Rammed C Lotação (the lady of the bus) in 1978 and Have Te Amo (I love you) in 1981.

She reached an international repute with the role titrates film Gabriela , the adaptation for big screen of the above mentioned novel of Amado, in 1983. The history takes place with Bahia in 1925, and Sônia Braga plays the part of beautiful a Mulâtre, Gabriela, which transforms the life of several provincial. Thanks to this romantic tale, Sônia Braga could make its entry in the cinema of the the United States of America. It turned in the Kiss of the woman spider and Angel Eyes .
