Songwriters Hall off Famed

The Songwriters Hall off Famed , which one can translate by “Temple of famous type-setters”, is an institution dedicated to the promotion of talented and promising type-setters. It was founded in 1969 by Johnny Mercer (a type-setter), Abe Olman and Howie Richmond (two editors of partitions).

Section of the National Academy off Popular Music (the United States), it organizes formations and congresses, as distributes grants with an aim of supporting the emergence of new talents in composition. Each nominated, selected annually, receives a grant.
