the Song of the styrene is a French film carried out by Alain Resnais, left in 1958.

Synopsis

Plastic bowl with oil, all the industrial chain leading to the manufacture of the objects out of plastic.

Comment

Images of objects out of plastic ravel and stop on a bowl. The screen of film reassembles then this bowl with the mould which gave him birth then to material, its coloring… to finish on coal and oil, raw materials of the plastic. This documentary film was financed by the group Pechiney. The comment called in Voice-over was written by Raymond Queneau in alexandrines, while the music was composed by Pierre Barbaud, creator of the algorithmic music.
