Song Min-soon

Song Min-soon (Hangeul 송민순, Hanja 宋旻淳, Romanisation revised and McCune-Reischauer Song Min-sun) (born the July 28th 1948 with Jinyang (current Jinju, in the province of the Gyeongsang of the South), is a Diplomate and a South Korean Politician .

Graduate of German literature, it entered to the South Korean ministry of the foreign affairs in 1975. He was ambassador in Poland of 2001 with 2003.

Secretary with the safety of the president Roh Moo-hyun, it is regarded as the principal craftsman of the agreement of September 19th, 2005 on the nuclear power North-Korean.

He succeeded on December 1st 2006 with Ban Ki-moon, appointed general secretary of the the United Nations, as Foreign Minister and of the trade, in spite of the opposition of the Grand national party which reproaches him anti-American positions.
