Sonagraphe

Resulting from research on the word, the sonagraphe goes back to the years 1940, and was created in the laboratories of the telco Bell (Beautiful Laboratories). It was the most important instrument to apprehend the visualition of the decomposition of the sound Specter. Only the sonagraphe, apparatus of chart of the totality of dimensions of the sound phenomenon (time - frequency - amplitude) made it possible to follow an evolutionary spectrum, i.e. whose intensity of each Harmonique varied in time. This instrument of visual transcription of sound “reality” thus provided the elements of an experimentation Acoustique more aguerrie to the taking into account of temporal dimension.
