The somatic nervous system is the part of the peripheral Nervous system associated with the voluntary control of the movements of the body via the action of the skeletal Muscles, and with the perception of the external stimuli via receiving specific. The somatic nervous system thus consists of efferent fibers which are responsible for the muscular contraction, and of related fibers receiving from information coming from outside.
The first motoneurone has its cellular body located in the gyrus précentral of the cerebral cortex (surface 4 of Brodmann). It is this part of the brain which controls the contraction (voluntary) muscle. The first motoneurone transmits the nerve impulse along the Faisceau corticospinal (of which it forms part) and made Synapse in the ventral Corne of the Spinal-cord with the second motoneurone. The neurotransmitter of this synapse is the Acétylcholine, which interacts with a Récepteur nicotinic.
The second motoneurone transmits to his turn the impulse along his axon, which borrows a ventral Racine of marrow then a peripheral nerve. Thus the nerve impulse arrives until the Jonction neuromusculaire and allows the muscular contraction…
