Somali civil war

The Somali Civil war is an armed conflict which started in 1986.

It can be divided into several parts:

  • the years having preceded the fall by Siad Bars and the year which followed (1986-1992);
  • the anarchy and lords of the war since this date:
    • interventions of the the United Nations (Restore Hope, 1992-1995)
  • arrived of the Union of the Islamic courts semi-2006 and their defeat in front of the forces Ethiopian supporting the federal government of transition at the end of December the same year.
