Solomon Tandeng Muna
Solomon Tandeng Muna (born towards 1912 in Ngenmbo, department of the Momo) was the Prime Minister for the anglophone Cameroun of January 11th 1968 at May 20th 1972.
Biography
- 1932 - 1947: Director of several elementary schools, then Head Tutor with the College of Teachers of Batibo. Continues its higher learning with London from where it leaves graduate;
- 1947 - 1951: Teacher with Batibo;
- 1951 : Elected official at the Regional assembly of Eastern Nigeria;
- 1952 - 1954: Becomes public Minister for Labor of Eastern Nigeria;
- 1954 - 1957: Separation of Eastern Nigeria and the Western Cameroun, becomes minister in charge for the Resources and Public works of the Western Cameroun;
- 1959 - 1961: Public Minister for Labor then Industry and Trade, Minister for Finance;
- October 20th 1961 - January 11th 1968: Minister for Transport, the Mines, the Posts and Telecommunications;
- January 11th 1968 - May 20th 1972: Prime Minister of Western Cameroun;
- May 20th 1972 - during 1973: Minister of state.
In June 1972, the country puts an end to the federal system and the post of Prime Minister will remain vacant until 1975.
