  • the Abbaye of the Trap door is founded by the count of the Pole Rotrou II in 1122. Towards 1148, the monastery enters the Ordre cistercian. The abbey of Soligny, often called the Large Trap door , is the seat of a reform of the order cistercian, in 1664, under the influence of the Abbé Armand Jean Bouthillier de Rancé, creating the Ordre cistercian of the strict observance, commonly called Trappiste .
