The solifluction is the descent, on a slope, muddy materials softened by the increase in their content of Eau liquid. When liquid water comes from the thaw one speaks about Gélifluxion. During the hot season the surfacing (or sleep activates) starts to melt and slips literally on the sub-base solidified by freezing than a vistess from 0,5 to 1,5 cm per annum. In Germany, the deposits of solifluction dating from the recent Dryas have a homogeneous thickness from 0,4 to 0,7 meters.
Contrary to other types of landslides such as the flow mud after torrential rains or remains castings, the process of solifluction is gradual, even unperceivable.
