Solid mass of Queyras
The massive of Queyras is a solid mass of the the Alps free - Italian located at horse on the department of the Hautes-Alpes and on the area of the Piedmont. Its Italian part is made up of the the Alps cottiennes.
It accommodates the Regional natural park of Queyras.
Geography
Situation
Whereas the Queyras corresponds to the basin of the Guil, therefore to two banks on each side of the river, the solid mass in itself is limited to the septentrional part of this area, i.e. in the north and the east of Saint-Véran, therefore roughly in Right Bank. It is also surrounded by Castle-City-Old woman, Guillestre and Briançon.Its southernmost limit is rather vague, but can be fixed at the collar Saint-Véran, immediately at the south of the Col Agnel.
Consequently, it is surrounded of the Massif of Ubaye in the south, of the Massif of the Jewel cases in the west, of the Massif of the Rings in north and the the Alps cottiennes in the east.
