Solid mass of Ortles
The massive of Ortles or Ortles-Cevedale is a solid mass of the Eastern Préalpes Southerners. It rises in Italy (between the Trentin-Haut-Adige and the Lombardy) and of small portion in Suisse (Grisons).
The Ortles is the culminating point of the solid mass, from where its name.
The principal peaks of the solid mass shelter important Glacier S.

Situation
The solid mass is surrounded of the Chaîne of Sesvenna and the the Alps of Ötztal in north, of the the Alps de Sarntal in the North-East, of the Massif of Non in the east, of the Massif of Brenta and the Adamello-Presanella in the south, the solid mass of Sobretta-Gavia and the Chaîne of Livigno in the west.It is bordered by the Adige in north (Val venoste) and in the North-East, the Noce (Valley di Sole) in the south and the Oglio in south-west; it is crossed to the North-West by the Col of Stelvio.
