Solid mass of Monédières

The massive of Monédières is a granitic unit which belongs to the Massif Central and which is included/understood in the department of the Corrèze.
Of an total surface area of approximately 60 km ², it is located between the communes of:
Monédières means " Mounts of the jour" and lets predict plays of lights offered. The solid mass nevertheless underwent two very important incendits (first was started by Jules César to eliminate the powerful druids autoctones and second was financed by the baron de Treignac at the time of the wars of religion).
Principal tops
Its tops rounded dominate the valleys around from 150 to 300 meters.

the Puy de Monédière , culminating point with 919 meters,
- the Juice in May , 908 meters, from where one can discover the Chaîne of Puys and where a table of orientation is established;
- the giant Peuch , 856 meters;
- the Puy Charrin , 869 meters;
- the Puy d' Orliac , 705 meters.
