Solid Snake

Solid Snake is the hero of a series of Video games, Metal GEAR , created by Japanese Hideo Kojima in 1987.

Solid Snake is an expert commando of elite over-trained in infiltration. The pseudonym Iroquois Pliskin refers to Snake Plissken , main character interpreted by Kurt Russell in two films of John Carpenter, New York 1997 and Los Angeles 2013 .

It measures 178 cm and weighs 75 kg according to the handbook of Metal GEAR 2: Solid Snake . But starting from Metal GEAR Solid , it is described like measuring 182 cm. The statue cuts real of Solid Snake realized for the promotion of Metal GEAR Solid 2: Sounds off Liberty measurement however 186 cm.

Solid Snake is also one of the playable characters of the video game Super Bros Smash. Brawl on Nintendo Wii

History

Former life

It is the project: “The Enfant terribles”, who is at the origin of the birth of Solid Snake. The purpose of this project was to create the perfect soldier by clonant genes of the legendary soldier, Big Boss. The project gave birth to three children (out of the eight embryos create): Solid Snake, Liquid Snake and Solidus Snake.

According to Liquid Snake, the dominant genes of Big Boss all would have been given to Solid Snake and Liquid would have inherited only recessive genes, and this is why he considers that he is only one waste. However, at the time of a conversation between Revolver Ocelot and Solidus Snake, Ocelot affirms that it is Snake which would have inherited “bad” genes. And thus, that Liquid would have dominant genes. However, none of both learns the truth.

The details on its past are not numerous. It is known only that it was born in 1972 and that it was raised per many people. In 1991, Snake infiltrated the Iraq during the Guerre of the Gulf with a group of Green Bérets. He was at that time only one child according to his clean dires.

The revolt of Outer Heaven

In 1995, Solid Snake is recruited among the commandos of the special group of operation named Fox Hound. Whereas it is always only one blue, it is chosen by the commander of the unit Fox Hound, Big Boss to infiltrate the fortress of Outer heaven in order to save Gray Fox (a comrade member of Fox Hound him also) as well as other prisoner held in the fortress. Moreover, it has order to destroy the Metal GEAR. It spent then six months as an agent infiltrated on behalf of the CIA. Dissatisfied, it leaves the agency. Snake becomes a mercenary then. And after having gained enough money, it takes its retirement in the countered wild one of the Alaska.

Country of Zanzibar

In 1999, a former commander de Solid Snake, Roy Campbell the recall for a new operation in Asia Exchange, in Zanzibar. The mission of Snake is to assassinate the dictator of the country of Zanzibar which proves to be Big Boss in person. This one having placed order for a new Metal GEAR, became a serious threat for the Occident. Gray Fox, the old agent of Fox Hound, joined Big Boss and fights its dimensioned since this last saved the life to him.

Snake destroys Metal GEAR and faces Gray Fox in a violent one fights with hands naked right in the middle of a minefield. From return to the base, Snake learns the truth then: Big Boss was his father! After these events, Snake turns over in its retirement to Twin Lakes to Alaska to try to forget its past torn by the war. It then decides to raise 50 dogs and takes part even in the race of sledges Iditarod.

The incident of Shadow Moses

In February 2005, whereas the members of the unit Fox Hound which had been recently reformed revolts and take the control of nuclear installation on the island of Shadow Moses, constrained Roy Campbell Snake to be taken part in the operation. Snake must then face the soldiers genomes (soldiers genetically modified with the embarrassments of Big Boss) and the novel members of Fox Hound: Revolver Ocelot, Sniper Wolf, Vulcan Raven, Decoy Octopus, Psycho Mantis and the leader, Liquid Snake. During the mission, Snake will meet Meryl Silverburgh, the niece of Roy Campbell, and Hal Emmerich, a scientist working on Metal GEAR REX built in these installations. The team of support is consisted of colonel Roy Campbell, of the analyst Mei Ling, Nastasha Romanenko, the doctor Naomi Hunter and the former instructor of Snake: Master Miller. During the incident, Snake does not suspect that it is handled in order to start Metal GEAR: Indeed, after having to insert the chart to stop Metal GEAR, it activates it. Snake discovers the horrible truth then: Decoy octopus, the Master of disguise of FOX HOUND it was made pass for the chief of the DARPA, in order to switch Snake towards the bad direction. In summer 2007, Philanthropy receives information anonymities (one will learn later that it is Revolver Ocelot, being made pass for Emma Emmerich, who sent this information by email) revealing that a Metal GEAR prototype developed by the Navy American is being conveyed secretly on the Hudson river in New York.

Snake thus infiltrated the false Tanker on which Metal GEAR RAY was. Big Shell

In 2009, Solid Snake infiltrates the Big Shell under the disguise of Iroquois Pliskin, a member of the Seal, and helps Raiden, a whole novel member of Fox Hound, to save the hostages and to find president George Sears who is not other than Solidus Snake, the brother of Solid and Liquid. Solidus is the leader of the Fils of Freedom, a group fighting against a mysterious force which directs the US government being made call the Patriotes.

The reason for which Snake is on Big Shell is that he wants to find the new Metal GEAR prototype named Arsenal GEAR builds under the treatment plant. Anecdotes

It is David Hayter which lends his voice to the character of Snake in the version English E and Emmanuel Bonami in the French-speaking version.
During the incident of shadow moses, in the office of Otacon or takes place a serious discussion between Snake and Emmerich, one can see on a monitor of the figurines of mario and yoshi, thus revealing its weak for the Japanese japanimation and jeuxvidéos.
