Soleimane Frangié Jr

Soleimane Frangié Jr (rear RTL سليمانفرنجية) (born the October 18th 1965) is the chief of the Brigade Marada and was minister of state without wallet between 1990 and 1992 (government Omar Karamé), Minister for the Habitat and the co-operatives in 1992 (government Rachid Solh), Minister for the Rurales businesses and local elections between 1992 and 1995 (government Rafiq Hariri), of Health between 1996 and 1998 and 2000 and 2004 (governments Rafiq Hariri), Minister for Agriculture, the Habitat and the Co-operatives between 1998 and 2000 (government Salim El-Hoss ) and Minister of Interior Department between 2004 and 2005 (government Omar Karamé).

Biography

Soleimane Frangié was born with Tripoli in Lebanon in one from the principal families Maronite, the family Frangié. His/her father, Tony Frangié, was assassinated in June 1978. Frangié was in his/her grandparent with Zghorta, it thus avoids being assassinated with his/her father, which is not the case of his/her mother and her sister killed too.

His/her grandfather, the former president Soleimane Frangié, takes the load of Soleimane Jr.

His/her grandfather was pro-Syrian and old friend of Hafez el-Assad before even as he becomes president of the Syria. The excellent friendly relations between the two Frangié families and el-Assad makes it possible to make of Soleimane Jr and Bachar el-Assad of the friends of childhood.

Extremely of a political heritage several generations, he was minister with many recoveries since the end of the war and is currently one of the principal politicians of the country. He is very popular in Lebanon North, especially in the towns of Zghorta and Ehden. He is also popular with Beirut and the south Lebanon, in particular thanks to his alliances with Hassan Nasrallah (Hezbollah) and the general Michel Aoun (Free patriotic current).

Appointed Zghorta since 1991, it loses in 2005 its station of deputy and its list of alliance with the Free patriotic current is demolished in the North of Lebanon vis-a-vis the list of the forces of March 14th, of which one of its figures is not other than Samir Frangié, nephew of Soleimane father.
