Solefald is a Norwegian group of Avant-garde metal, formed by the duet Cornelius Jakhelln and Lars A. Nedland alias Lazare.
History
- Solefald was founded in 1995 by Cornelius Jakhelln and Lars A. Nedland alias Lazare.
Music
- Solefald is regarded as a group of Avant-garde metal strongly influenced by the Black metal, in particular on the first 4 albums. The 2 following albums are rather directed towards the Viking metal, of share the texts having a direct link with the Scandinavian Mythologie.
- the strange side of the music of Solefald is to use a saxophone, which gives an aspect " décalé" compared to the other groups of extreme Metal.
