Solar telescope
One calls solar telescope a telescope dedicated exclusively to the observation of the Sun.
These telescopes have a single characteristic among the whole of the telescopes: they are the only ones to make their observations of day.
Because of the enormous quantity of Lumière coming from the Sun that they receive, the solar telescopes generally have of the Miroir S of small sizes (for example, the lens of entry of the Observatoire of Sacramento Peak makes only 76 cm in diameter, to compare with the 11 m in diameter of the primary education mirror of SALT). Because of l´énorme quantity of energy received by the mirrors of these telescopes, to avoid a degradation of the images by the turbulence created by the air heated by the received light of the Sun, the major part of the way of the light to the instruments is done under Vide.
