Solar power station

A solar power station is a system of production of electricity which uses the solar energy.

Photovoltaic solar power station

A photovoltaic solar power station consists of a field of photovoltaic solar modules connected to each other in series or parallel, and connected on one or more Onduleur S. It is the case for example solar power station of the Mont Sun (Swiss). The largest photovoltaic solar power station in the world is currently Bavaria solarpark in Germany, with a power of 10 MW.

Thermal solar power station

See also: Solar power station thermodynamics

A solar power station thermal (or thermodynamics or heliothermodynamic) consists of a field of special solar collectors called Héliostat S which concentrate the rays of the sun. The parabolic mirrors are concentrated on tubes where a liquid coolant is brought up to high temperature. This liquid coolant sent in a boiler transforms water into vapor. The vapor makes turn of the turbines which actuate generators.
