Solana braces
Moises Solana is a racing driver Mexican born the December 26th 1933 with Mexico City and deceased the July 27th 1969 with Valle de Bravo (to a hundred kilometers of Mexico City).
It took part of 1963 in 1968 in 8 Grand Prix of Formule 1 in championship of the world beginning the October 27th 1963 in the Grand Prix from Mexico. It did not register points in championship of the world.
Biography
Its entry in the world of the Formule 1 is a little chaotic. Being registered with the stable Bowmaker Racing TEAM with the Grand Prix of Mexico 1962, test not counting for the championship of the world of formula 1, to run on a Cooper T58 to engine V8 BRM, Solana does not find it satisfactory, and declares fixed price during the tests.
Solana takes part mainly in the national races. It also runs, on board Lola and McLaren, of 1966 with 1968, with American races under effigy USRRC. In March 1968, it gains its first data points Groupe 7 of the USRRC in the first race international with Mexico City.
It also took share with the Grand Prix of Madrid 1967 in Formule 2 on the Circuit of Jarama at the wheel of a Lotus 48, and finishes with the 11th position.
In 1968, Solana tests Formula 2 for the Italian stable Ferrari.
In 1969, during a Hill climb with Valle de Bravo, it loses the control of its McLaren M6B which runs up against a bridge before igniting.
Anecdote
- He is the only pilot of the history of the championship of the world of Formula 1 to have run under the number #13 at the time of its service at the beginning of its career with the Grand Prix of Mexico 1963.
