Sokodé is with 123.029 inhabitants the second city of the Togo and is the capital of the area of the center .

The city is made up old villages become today of véritbale urban districts. Sokodé with today a role of city crossroads, like Atakpamé (capital of the area of the plates). In spite of that the city knew to keep a pleasant environment with many blazing and mango trees which punctuate the streets of the city.
