Soiron

Soiron (in Walloon Sweron ) is a section of the common Belgian of Pepinster located in Walloon region in the Province of Liege.

It was a commune with whole share before the fusion of the communes of 1977.

The village was founded in 1005.

In 1692, Soiron was almost entirely striped chart by an earthquake. The robust tower of the church was one of the rare upright remained buildings. Today the village is composed of a small number of streets and charming lanes, bordered of brick houses to the stone caclaire framings. To also see: the castle rebuilt at the XVII century and the old public laundrette.

The village belongs to the association which gathers the most beautiful villages of Wallonia.
