Softimage

Softimage®|XSI® is a software of modeling professional 3D conceived with Montreal, place where the company éponyme was founded in 1986, by Daniel Langlois. The company was acquired by Microsoft in 1994 and is now held by the company Avid Technology Inc., a leader in the world of the video edition.

The most recent version of Softimage to date is version XSI 6.5. This software was used to create Half-Life 2, Prince off Persia: sands of time, Resident Evil 4. The professional version of the software is very expensive but it is also possible to get a version of test free.
