The Softball is registered with the program since the Olympic Games of summer of 1996 with Atlanta. It is expected that it disappears from the Olympic program after those of 2008. Indeed, at the time of the 117e session of the International Olympic committee, joined together with Singapore, the Softball was excluded from the list of the Olympic sports as from 2012, as well as the Baseball.
