Sofitel

Sofitel is a mark of hotel trade of luxury held by the group Accor.

History

Create in 1964 with the opening of first Sofitel in Strasbourg, it internationalizes itself in 1974 with the opening of a Sofitel hotel to Mineapolis. In 1980 the maraque one is repurchased by the Accor group then called Groupe Novotel SIEH .

Composed exclusively of hotels 4 stars, the Sofitel mark covers the hotel trade of luxury within the hotel section of the Accor group.

Sofitel is made up of approximately 200 hotels (192 in 2005 including 35 in France and 53 in Europe except France.)
