Sofia Goubaïdoulina
Sofia Asgatovna Goubaïdoulina (in; ) Soviet Compositrice is a then Russian, born the October 24th 1931 with Tchistopol, in République of Tatarstan (Russia).
Biography
Assistant of Chostakovitch of 1954 with 1959, Sofia Goubaïdoulina bases in company of the type-setters Viatcheslav Artiomov and Viktor Sousline, the Ensemble Astreya where she improvises on rare instruments of Europe of the East, like on ritual instruments.Influenced by all forms of ritual musics, by the Christian mystic and the Eastern Philosophy, it received many prices, of which the International prize of the disc Koussevitzky (1989 and 1994), the Prix Free Abbiato (1991), the Heidelberger Künstlerinnenpreis (1991) and the Prix of the Russian State (1992).
Since 1992, it lives in Germany, near Hamburg.
