Sodom

Sodom is a German group of Thrash founded metal in 1982 by Tom Angelripper (song, low), Aggressor (guitar) and Chris Witchhunter (battery). They are the leaders of the German scene thrash at the sides of Kreator and Destruction .
They are influenced by groups such as Motörhead, Venom, Tank and Accept as can testify the various recoveries to them.

Tom and his band play a brutal thrash with a side Punk which appears especially into live where the music is very dry and rough.

The topics approached are varied. At the beginning, the words were related to the satanism. Since 1986, the words turn around the war in particular that of the Vietnam which is a great source of inspiration for the group which denounces cruelties of the war. They evoke also serious subjects like the murder, the child murder or the inceste.

It is noticed that Sodom saw passing from many guitarists (the line up forever be stable until 1997), allowing to appreciate various styles on almost each album. For example Frank Blackfire has a simple play but hooker. On the album Better Off Dead Michael Hoffmann brings a play more melody than these predecessors. One can appreciate the solos removed from rim of Andi Brings on Tapping The Vein .
