Socket F
The Socket F is a socket for the Processeur S Opteron of AMD which is available since August 15th 2006 and replaces the Socket 940. the socket Socket F has 1207 pins and it is compatible with DDR2. This range of socket is intended initially for the waiters using of processors AMD. Its marketing was carried out after the Socket AM2 which receive the processors of the range Athlon 64 and the Socket S1 for the laptops.
