Socket 3
The Socket 3 is the last socket conceived for processors of family 486. The difference with the socket 2 is that it makes it possible to work with 3.3V. This allows compatibility with the processors 486 Socket 2, the last 486, the 5x86 of AMD and Cyrix, and Overdrive 63/83 of Pentium. The change between 3.3V and 5V is made by means of rider in the mother chart.
