Sociology of the political ideas

The sociology of the ideas makes integral part of the political Sociologie now.

Political sociology, Sociology of the relations of being able within a political system (in general the State), and thus of the interactions between leaders and directed. Integrated into the studies of right in 1962, it was a long time tributary, for its contents, of its founder Maurice Duverger, constitutional law professor. Its book " The parties politiques" , written in 1951, constituted some the nearly exclusive program.

Today sociology of the institutions and the political groups, but also of the relations media-capacity, the vote, the political behaviors, political sociology opened with the sociology of the ideas.

Introduced into its handbook " Sociology politique" by Catherine Rouvier, public law professor and of political science (litec collection right objective 4th edition in the course of impression) under the title " Intellectual transmission of the politique" , the sociology of the ideas attempts to inventory and connect between them, in the speech transmitted by the school, the university, the literary and political emissions, as well as the cinema, of the social representations and policies which form the political culture of a civilization.

It can be used as substrate with a " Sociology of the vote " still stammering which is limited for the time being a little too to emotional, individual (captive vote) or collective (social Psychologie) and neglects intellect, become however paramount in occident since the generalization of compulsory education and the opening of the university with 80% of an age group.

The sociology of the ideas makes it possible to include/understand the interest and the range of the " offer politique" parties with the citizens at the time of the elections, as well as the nature of the " demande" coming from the citizens, just as the impact of a speech or one reforms on the voter.
