Socialist party of the Colombia-British
The Socialist party of the Colombia-British was a provincial political party which amalgamated in 1905 in a national political party, the Socialist party of Canada. 2 years more earlier SPBC had obtained seats at the local assembly to be opposed to the provincial government Victoria, the capital of the Colombia-British in western Canada. SPBC finally was not successful with the national socialist party and did not gain seats in the legislature to be opposed to the national government with Ottawa, the capital of Canada. The beginnings of the Nouveau Democratic party of the Colombia-British included to amalgamate the provincial representatives of the socialist party of Canada as a Colombia-British in the BCNDP in 1933. Provincial political party SPBC amalgamated in a national party SPC in 1905 and then SPC (BC) amalgamated with the provincial party BCNDP in 1933.
