Socialism with human face
socialism with human face a translation of the Czech expression socialismus S lidskou tváří which is the program announced by Alexander Dubček when he becomes president of the Czechoslovakian Communist party in January 1968. The events which rise from the application of this program are known under the name of Printemps of Prague. The process of democratization and political liberalization finishes the morning of the August 21st, 1968, when 200.000 troops and 5.000 tanks of the Warsaw Pact invade the Czechoslovakia.
