Social movements of 1968 in the world

The year 1968 is marked by a series of revolts mainly coeds a little everywhere on planet.

February: beginning of the “Spring of Prague” in Czechoslovakia.
February: occupation of the university of Rome in Italy by the students. The police force intervenes to evacuate the buildings and the students decide to go to occupy the faculty of architecture, isolated in the villa Borghèse. The police force charges and of the confrontations violent one are held (“battles of Valle Giulia”). The studied movement starts to decrease in spring and the elections of May cause a final diversion.
February 8th: died of three American students in South Carolina at the time of demonstrations for the civic rights.
March 8th: studied movement and countryside anti-semite of the government in Poland. Demonstrations of students protestors of the mode, started by the prohibition of a spectacle considered to be anti-Soviet, are repressed by the communist police force. A vast political purging strikes the students and conduit with the expulsion of the Jews of the Polish unified working Party.
Spring: in Italy, movement spontaneous of anger and revolt in industries where the trade unionism is weak (factory Marzotto in Venezia). The trade unions issue a General strike in spring which obtains a great success.
April 4th: riots burst in the majority of the big cities of the the United States after the assassination of Martin Luther King.
May: student's riots with Tokyo (1968-1970).
May: “May 68” in France.
June 24th: Monday of the bludgeon to the Canada: 290 people are stopped during the procession of the Saint-Jean-Baptist, in Montreal.
20 August 21st: crushing of the “Spring of Prague” in Czechoslovakia.
22 August 30th: confrontations with Chicago between students and police officers at the Convention of the Democratic party. The American students rise against the Guerre of Vietnam and call into question the American model of life (American way off life).
Fall: liberation movement of the woman to the the United States manifestation of the Radical Women against the election of America Miss.
October 2nd: “Massacre of Tlatelolco” to the Mexico
October 5th: the first walk of the association of the civic rights in Northern Ireland. It is repressed in violence with Derry.

Demonstrations in the main cities of Lebanon to support the Palestinian cause.
