Sikh, teaching of Kundalinî Yoga which she discovered in her childhood, Snatam Kaur is singer and musician, familiar of the Indian music and more particularly of the Shabad Kirtan (musical tradition Sikh).

After a few years within a group, Peace Family, it starts a career solo. Its musical style mixes Western melodies and Indian sonorities agreeably, Mantras resulting from the tradition of Kundalinî Yoga, words of Yogi Bhajan and words personal. She sings the whole of a voice to the clear stamp, which she modulates with Article.

She occurs regularly in the United States and Canada and, more and more, within the Sikhs communities throughout the world (India, Singapore) in which she gains an increasing recognition of ragini (singer which controls the compositions or raags). And of the artists Old New as Deva Premal does not hesitate to take again its compositions.
