Smart customer
In data processing, a smart customer (intelligent customer) indicates an application which can be easily deployed and which is updated starting from a waiter. Several definitions exist with each one their nuances. The definition of Microsoft is the following one: a smart customer is an application which can be easily deployed and managed while proposing a rich interactive experiment. The capacity of adaptation and the speed for the answer are ensured by the use of the local resources and established connections in an intelligent way with data distributed (on a waiter, other machines, etc).
The smart customers are halfway between the applications functioning on a local station and those which reach services Web. Such a customer is able to work even when it does not have access to the data on the network, and this thanks to a local copy of the data. Another characteristic is the upgrading capability of the interface thanks to an update since a waiter.
