Small national armorial bearings
The Petites national armorial bearings ( Lille Rigsvåben in Danish) is a type of postage stamp of everyday usage used with the Denmark since 1946.
In top on the right, is taken again the national blazon: three heraldic lions surrounded by nine hearts. Further in bottom, the facial value and the name of transmitting country “DANMARK” are incrits wholesale characters. Above the country, a crown is represented.
The original drawing is of Primus Nielsen and was regularly regravé in Taille-douce without modification of the elements, only of the lines of engraving constituting the plain bottom. In 2004, engraving is carried out by the Swedish engraver Martin Mörck with diagonal lines crossed to constitute the bottom.
This type is used as series of everyday usage at the sides of the emissions with the effigy of the successive sovereigns of Denmark and the type corrugated Ligne. Within this framework, it generally posts the facial values strongest.
