Small murine

Biology

It is a species of bat present in Mediterranean Europe and to the Middle-East. It is active only the night, frequent wooded places but presenting spaces released in the vicinity of places to shelter, large buildings or caves. It is active only in soft weather. Often join the murine Grand to form large colonies.

Of biology comparable with large murine, it is as its name indicates it a little smaller. In France it meets only in the Mediterranean regions, the valley of the Rhone and goes back to north as far as Frank County.
