Small college
The Petit College was a die of secondary education in France.
The pupils of the Small College were intended to study at the university, for which the teaching of the Latin was necessary; contrary to the College of mainstream education which, directed to him towards technical studies.
They joined then the Large College where the modern dies and were different traditional (in which the pupils could study the Greek and Latin).
The College ended in the baccalaureat.
In 1968 the Small College is dissolved and amalgamated with the Collège of mainstream education.
