Small W9

Menu W9 is an emission of entertainment televised, diffused in France on TNT on the chain W9.

Concept

This emission repeats a selection of programs originating in the Japan. It is animated and commented on by Benjamin Morgaine and Vincent Desagnat (old organizers of the Morning Live on M6) disguised for the occasion as typically Japanese characters (sumo, geisha, samurai, etc). The emission is composed of a part “plate” with a series of Sketch short and a part “comments” during which the organizers comment on the images diffused with humor.

The musics sets of themes of the emission sushitendo and Tokyo organizes dpt were composed by Jean-Roland Me Barga.

Season 1 (2006-2007)

The first season began in October 2006. The program is diffused saturdays with 19:40 with 2 30 minutes episodes. Each episode of the emission is entirely devoted to one of the two following distinct sets of themes:

Takeshi' S Castle

It is about a Jeu televised Japanese created by Takeshi Kitano and diffused in the beginning on Tokyo Broadcasting System of 1986 to 1989. The candidates must gain a series of individual and collective tests physical, to be able to reach the final test during which they will have to take assault the castle of Kitano. The tone is humorous, the candidates do not hesitate besides to be disguised to point out itself.

This program is also diffused in the following countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, India, Indonesia, Germany, Spain, Australia, Malaysia, Italy, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Filipino, Portugal, Czech Republic, Brazil, Greece.

Sushi TV

“The best of worst of Japanese television”. It is about a series of extracts of variety programmes of the Japanese television, among which incongruous contests and other surprising individual performances. This selection is mainly fed by the emissions Super Human Coliseum , Live Live Down Town , TV Champions and Lady Servant boys . The whole is more or less explained by the organizers, which try to give a direction to the incomprehensible one.

This program is also diffused in the following countries: Spain, the United Kingdom.

Season 2 (2007-2008)

The second season began on October 7th, 2007. The program is diffused Sunday with 18:40 with 2 30 minutes episodes, then repeated saturdays with 16:40. A new set of themes made its appearance with Ninja Warrior , knowing that Sushi TV would have been stopped.

Ninja Warrior (Sasuke)

It is about a Jeu televised Japanese diffused in the beginning on Tokyo Broadcasting System since 1997. The play consists of a competition between 100 players having to achieve a series of 4 obstacle races, requiring physical and addresses. Each emission lasts 3 hours and covers the totality of the competition. Menu W9 begin with the diffusion from 8th or 9th season.
