Characters

  • Aime “Ti-Me” Avoided (commonly called “Pôpa” or “Ti-Me”): the patriarch of the family Avoided. He is the husband of Jacqueline. This character has a particular attraction for “drainings” (waste), which it méticuleusement sorts by order of dates or textures. When he wants to have peace, Aimé takes refuge in his workshop located at the basement of the family home, where he stores and uses his many tools, which he protects besides savagely. Physically, Aimé is easily recognizable: he permanently carries a species of brown hat, large black glasses and a long beard. Its patois is “baptism” and his/her only known friend is Paul Gauthier, better known under the name of Pogo. To note, it called forever by its true name (Aime) during the course of the series.
  • Jacqueline “Môman” Avoided : she is the woman of “Ti-Me” and the mother of Caro, “Rod”, Rénald and Therese. She cooks almost all the time. She is maniac of the Dindon, cooked, alive or packed. She always wears an evening gown and a bonnet, it does not matter the moment of the day. It does not miss words when comes time to sermonize “Ti-Me”, her children or her beautiful-children. This female character is interpreted by a man, which amplifies the daftness of the series.

  • Rodrigue “Rod” Avoided : The pet of Môman and the groin of the family are large a 37 year old teenager. Completely absorbed by clothing (especially bottoms (socks)), the hair, women and Rod Stewart. It is unable to live without his mother who makes her washing and prepares her meals.

  • Therese Avoided : She is the girl of Pôpa and Môman. She is married in Réjean Pinard, a liar womanizer. She is the second of the four Paré children. Its sentence fetish is “Steak, Indian corn, potatos”, since it never succeeds in making Chinese Pâté. During the first season, it had obvious problems of Stress, and excited for one anything. Later, she learned how to take the life with a astonishing blasé Fatalisme. She is Infirmière in sick leave for obvious reasons…! During first seasons, its hair was very eccentric.

  • Caro Avoided : The rebel of the family always to be joined various ecological or sociological causes. She multiplies the relations, but quickly completes them all for often surface reasons. She wants some much with her father with whom she baffles himself almost all the time. It is probably the character who is more in search of his identity: it was obese, nun, mégastar thanks to only one song and already was in a Secte where one becomes eternal .

  • Rénald “Finch” Avoided : The small lame duck of the family. The other members of the Paré clan find it rather tedious and “cheap”. He is married with Lison, very pretty woman, but very vacuum of spirit. His wife and have eaten to him every Sunday at Pôpa and Môman for 10 years to the great displeasure of the latter which dream to get rid some (going until their serving as the sandwiches with the “tomato courses”, that Rénald and Lison in spite of very liked). He is manager of case, always carrying the same beige complete-tie, and has a fascination for the bamba.

  • Lison “Creton” Avoided : It is the wife of Rénald as well as the daughter-in-law of “Pôpa” and “Môman”. Always getting dressed with uniform and very yelling colors, it is probably the character having less spirit and less judgment. Its sentences fetishes are “Hello group! ” or “could you repeat the question PLEASE? ”. For 10 years, she has eaten at every Sunday with her husband in her parents-in-law with an only aim of having the lamp of the living room at the time of the death of those.

  • Réjean Plonk : He is the husband of Therese and the son-in-law of “Pôpa” and “Môman”. He lives in the apartment above the house of the latter. It is a womanizer and a very bad liar whose lies do not mislead anybody (except its Therese wife). He lives of the Social security since always (and works often with the black), forever known his father and speaks about itself with the third anybody when he is under discussion with his father-in-law.

  • Paul “Pogo” Gauthier : Best (and undoubtedly only the) friendly one of Pôpa. During first seasons, Pogo was an alcoholic in cure having a fear blue of the intimacy. This fear was caused by the repeated inaccuracy of its ex-wife, Shirley. Later, he will marry with a friend of childhood of Moman, Linda Gaudette.

  • Linda Gaudette : A friend of childhood of Moman. For a character of the Small Life, it is relatively normal, in spite of the fact that it finds extremely Pogo “sexy”.

  • Jean-Lou Freinette : The homosexual friend of the family. Initially presented like the new in love one with Caro, all quickly realized that Jean-Lou was far from being heterosexual. Even after its relation with Caro finished, it continues to return visit frequently in Pôpa and Moman, with the great joy of the latter who regards it as a “friend of girl”. The preferred sentence of Jean-Lou is “that will make allusions”. He is married with the idol of Pôpa, Mr Bricole.

  • Bobby or Mr Bricole : The god of Pôpa and the husband of Jean-Lou. Homosexual very virile which animates an emission of do-it-yourself. There exists a certain sexual tension between him and Popa, with the great discomfort of this last.
