Small Gette

The small Gette (or small Ghete , in Dutch Kleine Gete , in Walloon Djåçlete ) is a river which takes its source in the the Walloon Brabant. It passes in the village of Jauche. It is interesting to note that the localities of Jauche and Jauchelette, as well as the rivers of small and of the Grande Gette have the same etymology; in French, perhaps under the influence of the Flemish name (as the alternative C-W communication of Ghete seems to confirm it), there was dissociation of the name of the rivers and the localities; in Walloon however, these names preserve the same root and pronunciation; the localities of Jauche and Jauchelette are respectively Djåce and Djåçlete , while the large and the small Gette are respectively Djåce and Djåçlete too.
